Frequently, honestly asked

A few of the things people ask before we begin.

07 · Questions, answered honestly

You probably have a few. Same.

A few of the questions I get most often, answered the way I'd answer them on a call.

  • Honestly, that's more common than you think. You don't need to show up with a perfectly organized vision or a detailed brand strategy. My job is to ask the right questions, uncover what makes your work unique, and help shape ideas that may have been sitting in your head for years. Some of the best projects start with, I know something isn't working, but I can't quite explain why.

  • Perfect. We can build from what you already have, or start fresh if that's the better option. Sometimes a few strategic changes make all the difference, and sometimes rebuilding creates a much stronger foundation. We'll figure out what makes the most sense together.

  • Yes, and that's one of the things I'm most passionate about. I build websites that are easy to manage so you can confidently update text, swap photos, add services, publish blogs, or make changes without needing to hire a developer every time. Of course, if you'd rather hand it off, I'm always happy to help.

  • Not necessarily. If you already have a brand, we'll build on it. If you don't, we'll create enough clarity and direction to make sure your website feels cohesive and intentional. Sometimes the branding becomes clearer through the website process itself.

  • That's completely okay. Some people start with a strategy session. Others need help refining their messaging, creating content, updating LinkedIn, building a resume, or simply figuring out how everything fits together. We can start wherever you are.

  • I love working with people who care deeply about what they do. That often includes therapists, practitioners, coaches, creatives, educators, wellness professionals, founders, and purpose-driven businesses. But if you're passionate about your work and want to communicate it more clearly, we'll probably get along just fine.

  • We talk. A lot. I want to understand your business, your goals, the people you're trying to reach, and what makes your work different before we ever think about colors or layouts. Good design starts with understanding, not aesthetics.

  • You're definitely not alone. Writing about your own work is surprisingly difficult because you're too close to it. I'll help organize your ideas, ask questions that uncover what's important, and turn those conversations into messaging that feels natural and true to you.

  • Because I don't want you to feel dependent on me. A website should be something you understand and feel confident managing. My goal isn't to create another monthly expense. It's to build something you can grow with, while knowing I'm here whenever you need extra support.

  • Absolutely. While websites are a big part of what I do, I also help with messaging, content creation, LinkedIn profiles, resumes, Instagram and TikTok strategy, creative direction, and ongoing creative support. Think of me as a creative partner rather than someone who only designs websites.

  • Great. We'll use what you already have and strengthen it where needed. Sometimes that means making small refinements, and sometimes it means discovering a clearer way to communicate your work. Every project is different, and we'll build around what serves you best.

  • Enough that your website still feels like you. I'll guide the process, ask the questions, and handle the heavy lifting, but the best results come from collaboration. This isn't about handing everything over and hoping for the best. It's about creating something together that you're genuinely proud of.

  • I don't start with design. I start with understanding. I care just as much about helping you explain what you do as I do about how your website looks. My goal is to create something that feels authentic, works hard for your business, and gives you the confidence to keep growing long after launch.

trying to say.

A paragraph is plenty. Where you are, what you're working on, what's felt stuck. I read every note myself and write back with warmth and, usually, a very good question. No sales pitch, no pressure.
